Germany CPI moves higher
The German Statistical Office (FSO) released today (Feb. 9) that the German consumer price index (CPI) for January Adjusted for comparison with the European Union (EU), it was up 9.2% year-on-year. which is less than expected
The report states that compared to December 2022 CPI up 0.5%
Analysts had previously expected January CPI to rise 10.0% year over year and 1.2% higher than the previous month.
Unadjusted for EU, Germany's January CPI rose 8.7% year-on-year and 1.0% month-on-month.
